Notes: This program was later assumed by FAO and regionalized to include five Eastern Caribbean nations in the proposal.

Major components: Work with the Cuban national protected areas program and the Global Environmental Facility to assure project integrity and effectiveness.
Notes: This program is a nation-wide program to strengthen conservation of significant biodiversity, endemic species and other important sites with demonstration activities focused in three principal national conservation areas.

Project name: Programa Pró-Atlântica: Trail Layout and Visitor Management in the Lauráceas State Park

Role: Public Use Planning Consultant
Location: Paraná, Brazil
Scope: State
Major components: Work with Brazilian counterparts to develop a public use plan for Parque Estatal Lauráceas (state park) including infrastructure planning, use and activity planning, and design of safety program.
Notes: This program was implemented by GFA Terra Systems of Germany in partnership with ProAtlantica of Brazil as part of a larger conservation project to protect critically endangered Atlantic Rain Forest funded by KFW.
